Jyotsna Gokhale says, in Ayurveda, it is said that one should eat, drink, sleep and exercise according to the seasons. Because just as there are changes in the universe from the cosmos to the pindi, there are also changes in the body.
During this rainy season, vata defects in the body increase and bile starts to accumulate. These changes can lead to knee pain, heel pain, or digestive problems, gas, and constipation. During this period, Agni is slow, which means digestion is slow. Therefore, if you eat a light food to digest, it helps in weight loss and by balancing the defects in the body, the body stays energetic, energetic and the mind stays happy.
How to eat which diet?
Water - Drink boiled and cooled water daily. If possible, consume hot water throughout the day as long as you feel thirsty. It has good benefits for weight loss. Also drink water half to half an hour after a meal. Drink moderate amounts of water at meal times. In short, if you drink water immediately after a meal, it should be avoided as it increases weight and obesity.
Like Ayurveda, it is recommended to take light and hot food for digestion with sweet, acid, salt and smooth properties. Only obese people should not consume sweets which are made from sugar, milk and milk and similar to phlegm. (E.g. Pedha Barfi, Paneer, Basundi, Dahi, Shrikhand Gulabjam, Rasamlai, Rasgulla etc.)
Lunch should include wheat flour or sorghum bread with milk, padwal, okra, red pumpkin, lentils, caraway, green leafy vegetables like onion, ginger, garlic with mint chutney, cucumber tomato salad, lemon zest, lentils, mung bean. Eat a small amount of roasted rice. People who are overweight and have diabetes should avoid rice and if they do not have diabetes, they should change it to poli and / or rice every day.
After lunch add thin buttermilk, sandhav salt and black pepper. Dinner should be taken from 7 to 7.30 if possible as digestion is still slow after sunset. And fruit and vegetable soup / essence should be taken in this meal. Do not do the whole meal. Weight loss will be followed by fatigue and constant tiredness. In case of hunger, one should consume bhajak food like sali lahya or sorghum lahya, amaranth lahi and fruits like orange, sweet orange, amla and pomegranate. If you regularly eat lunch, dinner and sleep between 10.30 pm and 11 pm without waking up, you will see a lot of changes in your body.
Getting up early in the morning and applying sesame oil or karanj oil all over the place and using some ayurvedic herbs as a cosmetic bath with hot water helps to get rid of excess fat.
Regular sun salutation should be done with some specific yoga or walking exercise. Exercise moderately or half-strength should be done during this season due to lack of body strength.
1) Take some drink instead of tea in the morning. Add 3 cups of crushed turmeric, cinnamon and ginger to your fingertips and boil it. It is used to light fires, for good appetite and digestion, to lose weight, and to prevent infections.
2) Also boil 2 tbsp cumin seeds + 2 cups of water and make 1 cup.
3) Add aloe vera juice + amla juice 2-2 teaspoons, half a glass of lukewarm water, 6-8 drops of lemongrass and 1 teaspoon of honey. Is done.
